9/15/2012 -- Call to Youtube video makers -- Muhammad Film.. Enforce the rules = Ban the video !

I have received several comments saying that I am approving of “censorship” ..

THESE PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY MISTAKEN in their concept of “free speech”.

This is to clarify.. this is NOT about freedom of speech.. they (the anti-islamic video makers) can do whatever they want on their own dot com website.. they can pay for a video client.. and upload on their own servers..

THAT is freedom of speech..

They have every right to create a site, and push that video via their own channels… away from youtube….no one stopping them.     THEY can then be there to take the consequences of expressing their “free speech”…. their own servers, their own dime — and not involve the rest of youtube and innocent youtube videomakers.

What REALLY is going on here?  Obviously, Youtube has been hijacked , to be used because of the billions of people on it daily.

THERE ARE RULES on youtube that we agree to…. rules which LIMIT our free speech.. we all agree to these rules when we sign up!!!

Its not censorship !! Its sticking to the rules we all agree to.

You want free speech unhinged and no holds barred?!  Go start your own website with no rules !

read the youtube rules below and see for yourself , see that I am not exaggerating, or calling for anything not already in the agreement —– I’ve been held to this agreement — some of MY videos have been removed — other videomakers as well.. our videos were removed for MUCH LESS controversy.

why remove truther videos, while not removing a video actually causing people to die, also which violates at least 4 of the main rules on youtube?

Did a one hour live video talk…  addressing the topic of the HIGHLY controversial Youtube video regarding Muhammad .

As youtube video makers, it is up to US to demand that youtube remove this video —- considering it completely violates youtube community rules, it should be a no-brainer at this point that it needs to be removed.

It is TOTALLY unacceptable content to be on youtube in the first place.  This is a copy of the basic Youtube Community guidelines…

We’re not asking for the kind of respect reserved for nuns, the elderly, and brain surgeons. We mean don’t abuse the site. Every cool new community feature on YouTube involves a certain level of trust. We trust you to be responsible, and millions of users respect that trust. Please be one of them.

Don’t Cross the Line

Here are some common-sense rules that will help you steer clear of trouble:

• YouTube is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your video, even if it’s a video of yourself, don’t post it on YouTube. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation. Please read our Safety Center and stay safe on YouTube.
• Don’t post videos showing bad stuff like animal abuse, drug abuse, under-age drinking and smoking, or bomb making.
• Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your video shows someone being physically hurt, attacked, or humiliated, don’t post it.
• YouTube is not a shock site. Don’t post gross-out videos of accidents, dead bodies or similar things intended to shock or disgust.
• Respect copyright. Only upload videos that you made or that you are authorized to use. This means don’t upload videos you didn’t make, or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations. Read our Copyright Tips for more information.
• We encourage free speech and defend everyone’s right to express unpopular points of view. But we don’t permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).
• Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from YouTube.
• Everyone hates spam. Don’t create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views. It’s not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.

We Enforce These Guidelines

Okay, this one is more about us than you. YouTube staff review flagged videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week to determine whether they violate our Community Guidelines. When they do, we remove them. Sometimes a video doesn’t violate our Community Guidelines, but may not be appropriate for everyone. These videos may be age-restricted. Accounts are penalized for Community Guidelines violations and serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination. If your account is terminated, you won’t be allowed to create any new accounts. Considering we other youtube video makers, myself, propheticseer, and HUNDREDS of others… have all had videos removed BY YOUTUBE due to being “controversial” or even for just being rude sometimes… no joke.. youtube pulls truth/hidden news videos at the drop of a hat !

Somethings not right here… the fact that Google/Youtube is allowing this video to stand.. in the face of it completely violating a whole host of rules that WE are forced to adhere to…. its almost like “they” want this to flare out of control.

By my own understanding, or any jury of peers (im sure anywhere in the world)… the Muhammad video for sure violates these four Youtube rules:

If you’re a youtube video maker, its going to fall onto our shoulders to reject this kind of video being in our community.   To reject (or possibly REMIND) Google of its rules [that they so easily dish out to us on a regular basis].

Please remember, people have died over this video….. this goes way beyond what should be in our midst online .

Youtube is supposed to be a place where people can interact, share information, be entertained, and have a fun experience.  Technically the faces of death videos, the borderline porn videos, the violent videos, and the gross videos violate the rules as well…. these aforementioned grossout / crude type videos are the dredges of video making… the “tosh.zero” videos are the trash of youtube.

These types of videos are a shame, and a burden to the real online video making community.

Stand up.  Say NO to this foolish attempt at causing conflict.
