4/19/2013 — Utah 2.8M Earthquake at Mining Quarry operation– 2.1 miles deep

April 19, 2013 , a 2.8M earthquake (2.1 miles deep) struck Utah.

Upon review of the USGS coordinates, searching on Google earth, the direct epicenter of the earthquake falls within just a few thousand feet of a large mine (also an active quarry).
