9/22/2013 — Oklahoma Fracking Operation — 2.9M earthquake epicenter just feet from pump

Yet once again , back to Oklahoma’s fracking / pumping / injection fields.   Another earthquake striking inside the northern Oklahoma shale deposits.

Today, September 22, 2013, a moderate 2.9M earthquake occurred at 3.1 miles deep, along the southern edge of the North American Craton — THIS WAS EXPECTED (which I will get to in a moment).

However, first, review the stats on the Oklahoma pumping quake before we get into “why” this happened, and how we knew to watch for it to occur at this time.

Now that we know where this occurred, lets look at the other US earthquake activity over the previous 24 hours building up to this “fracking / pumping” earthquake.

Notice the 4.0M+ earthquakes occurring near Yellowstone, also in the northeast ( eastern Canada ) — all of the sizable movement occurring along the edge of the North American Craton.

Compare the shale gas plays, to the North American Craton, to the Earthquake activity over the past 24 across North America.  There is a connection.

The screenshot on the right (Earthquake 3D)  shows the edge of the North American Craton CLEARLY defined by earthquakes in the 4.0M range over just 24 hours time.

We also see in the left “shale gas plays” diagram, that many of the frac well / injection well / gas plays reside along the edge of the craton.

Putting these two facts together, if the craton is showing movement at areas such as Yellowstone, or Eastern Canada in the 4.0M+ range, one should now begin to EXPECT adjacent movement at the man made drilling operations, injection operations, pumping, and even mining operations which reside along this same edge.

If you know that the pressure is transferring (somewhat quickly) along the edge of the craton, it becomes much easier to know where / when the movement will occur along other portions of the plate edge.

Putting the above into practice , yesterday, September 21 2013, I issued this statement to watch for fracking / pumping earthquake movement (due to the adjacent movement occurring earlier in the day):

Noticeable movement near Yellowstone, and also on the Northeastern edge of the craton in Canada..

Also north Central Mexico — 4.0 and 5.0M earthquakes.

This shows that the Western, Southwestern, and Northeastern edges of the craton are currently in flux.

Watch the fracking operations, and also midwest to east coast.
