A second large earthquake, measuring 7.8 magnitude, has struck off the shores of Chile. (April 2, 2014)
This event was most likely a shock for the region after the large 8.2M earthquake on April 1, 2014.

Localized wave warnings now issued, and the previous wave is still causing international activity on the buoys (showing wave activity across the ENTIRE pacific).

Overall VERY heavy movement still occurring in the region around Chile, also adjacent areas need to be on alert for possible noteworthy movement in the near term.
The adjacent area movement threat is evidenced by the 6.0M striking off the shores of Panama earlier in the day BEFORE this 7.8M event in Chile.
Since the 8.2M earthquake, the swarm in the region has been very large, standing out on any earthquake map / chart:
Day BEFORE the large quake.. a silent volcano in Peru suddenly erupted after being inactive for 40 years ! March 31, 2014.
