UPDATE April 28, 2015 200pm CDT:
Japan Earthquake strikes near the sea floor rise area!
April 28: After days of silence, we now see the Northern part of Japan show movement.
This earthquake just occurred VERY CLOSE TO THE LOCATION which has experienced the sea floor rise and ground collapse !
So much for the rise and collapse being blamed on “ocean waves” !
Also, this is the area I just warned several hours ago, warned yesterday, and warned 3 days ago in my earthquake forecast. North Japan near Hokkaido .
Original post below:
The Japan coastline has undergone some serious movement over the past few days, and we’re not talking about earthquake movement.
Now being officially blamed on “waves” from the ocean causing a collapse which pushed up the ground from the sea floor .
Original photos do not show this massive land slide, rather just a surface missing behind the UPWELLED sea floor. Thus the explanation officially of “ocean waves” causing a collapse carries little ‘weight’ (no pun intended).
Not to mention the calm water seen during the event!
I’d like to point out the original articles from Japan were calling it crustal movement, and specifically said it was NOT a landslide.
Their words (the Japanese) not mine.
“Yuichiro Tanioka Professor of Hokkaido earthquake volcano research Observation Center who looked at the scene photos of you do not know the cause that was “clearly, but sediment is not without wearing a stone, even if thinking, it is not a landslide. Coastline is raised and can be considered.”
And another quote from the original report:
“Experts found that residents of the ground in Rausu coast of eastern Hokkaido has raised over about 300 meters 10 m height width and “do not know exact cause, but seen the coastline has been raised.” we talk at around the 24th morning 6 around Rausu Horomoe the town in the Shiretoko Peninsula of eastern, and noticed that the ground is raised about one meter than usual when the residents who live near is a walk on the beach, then, 5:00 where it was found in around time, is that even the ground had been raised significantly.”
Town is that the coastline had been raised over about 300 meters, 10 meters height width where was confirmed scene around 18:00.
It depends on the police rather than housing and road around and it is that it does not damage to the human and buildings injury.
Emiko Funaki who lives near (60 years) “Do not than has been collapsed cliff and sea bottom is raised to. Is like a movie, such a thing you can not believe happen” has been talking to.”
“The mysterious rise of a landmass from the sea along the coast of Hokkaido, Japan, was caused by a local landslide, an on-site study has found. The mass measures up to 300 meters long, 40 meters wide and rises about 10 meters above sea level.
A local woman who was harvesting seaweed along the shoreline Friday morning noticed the area was more elevated than usual. By the time she finished harvesting, the area had risen further.
The president of the Rausu Fisheries Cooperative Association, Katsuhiro Tanaka, who saw the expanded coastline the day it was discovered, told Asahi Shimbun that “local residents said they didn’t hear any sounds and there were no tremors.”
Dutchsinse.com, reporting on earth changes news, weather modification, earthquakes and volcanoes, said on Saturday that “major global earthquake activity is taking place, and serious crustal movement is obviously underway in the region around North Japan.”
Hokkaido researchers discovered that part of a hill facing the sea had collapsed, the Asahi Shimbun reported. A road along the hill located about 150 meters from the coastline has tumbled in a section stretching up to 30 meters.
According to Shintaro Yamasaki, assistant professor of engineering technology at the Kitami Institute of Technology in Hokkaido, a landslide occurred on the hill toward the sea. He said that the landslide pushed up the seabed, so the sea bottom eventually appeared above the surface.
Yamasaki told the newspaper that the collapse occurred because “melted snow penetrated into the ground and made it easy for the ground to subside.”
Hiroshi Fukuoka, a professor at Niigata University Research Institute for Natural Hazards, added: “The ground has become fragile on some of the coasts that have become cliffs. That is because of exposure to waves.”
Backstory on how my site made RT:
On April 24, 2015 the coastline along Hokkadio Japan began to subside, and at the same time the subsidence was occurring the nearby sea floor began to RISE.
The rise continued throughout April 25th, into the 26th, as the subsidence (collapse) grew along the shoreline, pushing the seabed upwards of 50 feet (15-20 meters) above the ocean waves.
The overall subsidence appears to be much larger than the 1,000 foot long upward thrust seabed event.
When reviewing other videos of the event, you can see the fissures now extent far back from the shore line, and the collapse appears to be more of a coastline “sinkhole” than a landslide.
The sea floor RISE is the odd part about this event, some of the Japanese professionals raised “crustal” issues as possible causes for the overall event.
This Northern Japan coastal movement (collapse and rise) should be no shock in light of the other earthquake activity which has taken place recently in Taiwan (3 different 6.0M+ events in 1 day), and Nepal (7.8M large event + hundreds of aftershocks, including a 6.8M, 6.7M).
Overall things are moving fairly heavily at the moment , particularly in the Pacific, and Asia. The region is showing signs of stress via large volcanic eruptions, and noteworthy earthquakes across multiple regions. That being said, be sure to dust off the good old earthquake plan, just in case things don’t calm down soon.
Here is the original article translated from Japanese… notice the locals talk of RAISING causing the cliff collapse, and that they were worried the town would raise. They bring up crustal movement as THEIR thoughts on the issue.
